What's in a frame?

Dust Cover

Protective backing that completely seals the frame package together to prevent dust, bugs, or debris from entering. Typically this backing is adhered using a thin strip of double sided adhesive completely around the moulding.

Foam Backer

Acid free backer that artwork is supported by (mounted via corners, fabric tabs, fully adhered, etc.). This helps avoid any shifting or warping over time as well as providing protection from acidity on the backside.

Frame Space

Wood, acrylic, or mat rail that creates air space between the artwork and glazing if no matboard window is used. Over time, humidity & pressure can cause artwork or photos to stick to the glazing causing damage if not spaced.

Glazing (Glass or Acrylic)

UV and reflection protecting glass or acrylic.
